What Insurance Plans do you Accept?
Delta Premier and Signa Premier. We do accept assignment of benefits for all insurance plans that allow you to choose your dental provider. We have found that dental insurance, no matter the plan, is becoming obsolete. In other words, dental insurance does not play as important a roll in treatment choices as it used to.
What is your Policy Regarding Appointment Cancellations?
Please let us know 24 hours before your appointment to cancel if at all possible. We understand that life happens and give you the benefit of the doubt until “no shows” become habitual.
I really don’t like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax during my appointment?
We offer very gentle hands and hearts. We also have nitrous oxide, “laughing gas.” Dr. Tim is also board certified in comprehensive conscious sedation for those that want to be “put to sleep.”
What should I do if I have a dental emergency after hours?
While patients of record rarely have any emergent problems, when one does arise feel free to contact the Dr at home or on his cell phone.
How often do I need to visit the dentist?
The standard of care is to get a “cleaning” at least twice a year. However, many people find it much more comfortable to have their teeth cleaned more frequently. We will customize a protocol just for you that meets your health needs and is much of the time above the, “standard of care.”
Do I really need to floss everyday?
Is it that important? Daily flossing has been shown to scientifically lengthen your life by as much as 10 years by stopping the bacteria known to rob you heart and blood vessels of their vitality.
Why do I have bad breath?
Bad breath is caused mainly by bacterial plaque as well as diet. Another reason to floss daily. We can determine if you need any gum treatment to stop the deadly bacteria that are also odorous. Please ask about our Laser gum treatment that offers a “no cut – no sew” approach.
What is periodontal disease? How do I know if I have it?
Periodontal disease is the infection of the gum and bone that hold your teeth in your mouth. It is caused by deadly bacterial plaque. It is entirely preventable by flossing every day.

Does the LANAP treatment hurt?
LANAP is much more comfortable than traditional gum surgery. Every one is different in their pain description. However, we make sure our patients are kept comfortable throughout treatment as well as afterward.
Does laser gum surgery cost more than traditional gum surgery?
LANAP is competitively priced with traditional gum surgery techniques. However, much more technology is employed in LANAP procedures that add value to the treatment, predictability to the outcome, and confidence to your being able to keep your teeth.
Why do I need periodontal maintenance? Can’t I just get my teeth cleaned?
There is no “cure” for Periodontal disease. Periodontal Disease is driven by your overall body health and immune system resistance as well as your compliance with daily oral disease techniques. Having a shorter interval between professional therapies will keep these visits much more comfortable as well as keeping the daily habits routine to good oral health.
What are dental implants? Am I a candidate?
Dental Implants are replacements for teeth that you have lost to disease. They help you chew your food as well as maintain your facial bone structure, muscular strength and youthful facial contours. If you have some missing teeth we can examine that place in your mouth and take an x-ray or Cone Beam CT scan to determine if you are a good candidate.

What can I expect during my cleaning?
You can expect us to not only clean your teeth, but to also do a thorough examination of your mouth and gums. This involved a series of x-rays and a multi-point gum exam. We take it seriously that we can prevent many problems with oral cancer by early detection.
What is gum disease? Is it dangerous?
Periodontal disease is the deterioration of the gum and bone from around the teeth. It is caused by bacterial plaque and is a bacterial infection. Research has shown scientifically that this same bacteria cause heart attacks, high blood pressure, and blood vessel diseases. So, we could say that periodontal disease is life threatening.
Do you offer a senior discount?
We gladly honor our senior citizens with a 5% discount.
What should I expect during my first visit?
You will have a relaxed conversation with the doctor and office staff. We usually schedule the first visit as a “cleaning” appointment in order to use your time most economically. You will have an hour and a half scheduled for this as well as the accumulation of adequate diagnostic information to give you an estimate for your dental treatment time required and cost.
What are your financial policies?
We offer a 10% discount for cash. We also accept all major credit cards as well as CARE CREDIT, a dental charge card. Our financial consultant will help you navigate the financial waters of dental care. Please know we will not do anything without your consent. This includes your knowledge of any financial commitment you are making.
