Dr. Timothy J. Hacker incorporates advanced dental technology, including digital x-rays and 3-D scans, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning at our Memphis, TN, practice. These tools enable us to view immediate, detailed images of your smile and implement effective techniques. To provide patients with more comfortable treatments and accelerated recovery, Dr. Hacker also implements the latest tools in laser dentistry during various treatments, including gum rejuvenation therapy. At our practice, we strive to identify and treat oral health conditions early to protect your longterm health.

Using a 3-D scanner, we can view detailed images of your smile to determine the best course of treatment.

X-Ray Technology

Digital x-rays and 3-D technology has transformed the way dentists detect and treat soft and hard tissue disorders. Dr. Hacker incorporates advanced tools to precisely diagnose teeth and gum conditions and effectively plan oral surgery procedures. To meet the needs of our patients, we use the following:

Digital X-rays: Compared to traditional x-rays, digital x-rays emit less radiation and provide immediate results. After capturing detailed images, we can upload them to an in-office computer. Using state-of-the-art software, Dr. Hacker can digitally enhance images to more accurately detect issues within the teeth and jawbone.

Cone Beam CT Scans: Cone beam computed topography (CT) scanning captures three-dimensional images of your teeth, gums, and jawbone, and can be used to create a 3-D model of your smile. Using these scans, Dr. Hacker can examine nerve pathways and surrounding tissues to determine the root of any dental pain, as well as accurately plan dental implant placement.

Combining ongoing training and the latest diagnostic technology, Dr. Hacker can deliver high quality, comprehensive care from start to finish.
