Restorative Dentistry with Advanced Materials and Techniques
Dental implants can permanently replace the roots of missing teeth. These titanium posts are surgically placed in the jawbone, where they become a stable part of your oral structure. When your gums have healed, Dr. Hacker can attach a crown, bridge, or denture to the exposed heads of the posts. All of our restorations are custom-made to match your teeth, and they are carefully fabricated from state-of-the-art zirconia.
Teeth-in-a-Day refers to an advanced method of implant placement. It allows you to receive an entire arch of teeth in one office visit. Dr. Hacker will carefully examine your jawbone with digital x-rays, cone beam imaging, and computed tomography (CT) scans. These devices allow him to determine the optimal placement for your implant posts. Then he will insert several smaller posts, usually at an angle. This technique minimizes the impact to your surrounding jawbone so you can receive your restorations on the same day.
Our crowns are made from durable zirconia. Technicians at our partner lab use digital imaging technology to fabricate crowns that maintain your bite alignment and look natural next to your surrounding teeth. Traditional crowns fit over damaged teeth. They can strengthen the outer structure, cover large fillings, or conceal cosmetic flaws. They are also an important component of root canal therapy. Alternatively, crowns can be secured to the top of implant posts. In this way, they form stable, lifelike replacements for missing teeth.
Dr. Hacker proudly offers a range of dentures, which fit comfortably and look extremely natural. You can choose from several types of dentures, including full, partial, and implant-supported restorations. All of our dentures are carefully fabricated from lifelike zirconia. They are also crafted to enhance your facial structure and blend seamlessly with your smile. If you choose implant-supported dentures, Dr. Hacker will use advanced techniques, such as All-on-4®, to minimize discomfort and recovery time.
A dental bridge may be the optimal solution if you are missing one tooth, or two or more adjacent teeth. A bridge is comprised of several crowns, fused together to form a single restoration. Dr. Hacker may use crowns that are placed over existing teeth to attach the restoration. For maximum durability, you might select an implant-supported bridge. Our bridges are custom-made from zirconia. Technicians will craft your bridge so that it matches the shape of your surrounding teeth and the natural color of your smile.
Before most of our restorative treatments, Dr. Hacker will numb your gums and teeth using local anesthesia. Thanks to his skill and years of experience, he has developed a very gentle technique for administering these injections. He also uses a specialized type of anesthesia, and most patients cannot even feel the injections. Although Dr. Hacker’s treatments are virtually pain-free, he also offers several types of advanced sedation. If you are nervous about your procedure, you may benefit from nitrous oxide, intravenous (IV) sedation, or oral conscious sedation.
